FIRE DEPT. PROBES CAUSE OF PRE-DAWN BLAZE IN DENVER

Firefighters are investigating a pre-dawn parking garage fire that sent smoke drifting into an apartment building in South Denver on Wednesday.

No injuries were reported. 

"Smoke from the garage extended into the occupied floors above, and most residents were advised to shelter in place," the fire department said. "Engine 22 quickly deployed a hose line and extinguished the vehicle fire after making an effective stretch into the garage," the department said. "Tower 22 conducted searches and checked for extension in the ceiling area above the fire."
