FIRE GUTS HOME, SPREADS TO BRUSH IN JEFFERSON COUNTY
Fanned by wind, flames destroyed a home Thursday in the wilds of Golden Gate Canyon and spread to grass and trees.
The blaze broke out in the 10600-block of Ralston Creek Road, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters contained the burn to less than an acre, officials said.
A pre-evacuation notice for Drew Hill Road and Spirit Horse Trail was lifted at 1 p.m., officials said.
