While being handcuffed, a drunken driving suspect told police: "My kids are in the trunk.” Police rescued the three children stuffed inside. They weren't hurt even though the weather was bitter cold. Several bottles of alcohol were found inside the auto. The bizarre incident occurred in the vicinity of City Center Drive and 93rd Avenue in Westminster on Jan.23. The suspect was booked into the Adams County Jail on charges including DUI and child abuse. The children were reunited with family. [Photo: Westminster police]
