COPS HAIL HERO K9s AND HANDLERS FROM ADAMS COUNTY
The Colorado Police K9 Association hailed two Adams County Sheriff's patrol dogs and their handlers for their work in a murder case and a drug seizure.
"It’s a great achievement to have not one, but two K9 teams recognized by CPCA," the sheriff's office said Sunday.
Deputy Peacock and K9 Khan received the Explosive Case of the Year award for uncovering a firearm used in a homicide in a neighboring jurisdiction.
Deputy Lofland and K9 Tito received the Narcotics Case of the Year award for discovering a major haul of methamphetamine, black tar heroin and cocaine during a traffic stop.
