Thomas Galiano III, 26, and Hailee Anne Helton, 26, both of Colorado Springs, were sentenced to prison for selling fentanyl that caused two deaths in October 2022, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
A man, age 31, died at the Mountain View Apartment Homes in Colorado Springs. A woman, age 18, died at a home on Park Road in the Town of Rye.
Galiano was sentenced to 144 months and Helton 168 months. They also sold 16 fentanyl pills to an undercover police officer for $150.
Colorado Springs Police Chief Adrian Vasquez said: “We remain unwavering in our commitment to aggressively pursuing those who profit from poisoning our community.”
