UPDATE
A firefighting helicopter crashed Sunday evening in Gunnison County, killing the pilot, the sheriff's office said.
It went down in Silver Jack Reservoir - in the southwest part of the county - and a dive team recovered the pilot's body.
The K-Max chopper, which crashed at 5:17 p.m., was engaged in firefighting operations at the Gold Mountain wildfire.
The sheriff's office identified the pilot as Nicholas Dale, 56, of Sooks, British Columbia.
Federal authorities are investigating the crash.
