ARMED MAN ARRESTED IN BERTHOUD

Deputies arrested an armed man Sunday who was reported to be "acting erratically" in Berthoud, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said. A caller reported the man "was outside of a home, had a gun, and was behaving in a threatening manner," officials said. "When deputies arrived, the man had gone inside. They contacted him by phone and successfully convinced him to come out." The man was safely taken into custody. No injuries or damaged property were reported. Neighbors were directed to shelter in place. Officials provided no other information. The case is being handled by the sheriff's Berthoud Squad.
