DENVER WATER RESERVOIRS JUST 68% FULL

Denver Water's reservoirs were 68% full as of Monday - well below the seasonal average of 91% - amid a historic drought.

"Dry conditions continue to put significant pressure on Denver Water supplies as we move into the final stretch of the irrigation season," said Nathan Elder, Denver Water's manager of water supply.

Water restrictions remain in place.

Statewide, 88.2% of Colorado was in drought - as of Sept. 15 - with 44.1% of the state experiencing extreme or exceptional drought, including parts of Denver Water’s collection system and service area, Elder said.
