In a major crackdown, the Drug Enforcement Administration took 900,000 fatal doses of fentanyl off the streets of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana.
The operation, between Jan. 12 and Feb 10, netted 62 suspects.
“Fentanyl continues to be the number one drug threat the United States has ever faced,” said David Olesky, the DEA Rocky Mountain Field Division Special Agent in Charge.
Nationally, the agency's Operation Fentanyl Free America seized more than 57 million fatal doses.
