WHAT A HOOT! LITTLE OWLS SAFE AFTER ADVENTURES
Police rescued an owlet that tumbled from a nest in Lafayette, a day after a sibling made a similar ill-fated flight.
"The nest was too high to return the bird to," police said. "The owlet was transported to Birds of Prey to check for injury and receive care until it could be released back into the area.
"We learned that another owlet was found in the same area the day prior and was taken to Birds of Prey by a helpful person," police said. "Now, sibling owlets are at least together."
Neither was injured. The nest is located inside a Walmart.
