Two alpacas took residence this month at the Denver Zoo.
They hail from Texas.
"The smaller, black-headed alpaca with a spot on his cheek is just one year old, while his slightly larger, brown-haired companion is two," the zoo reports. "The younger one tends to follow the older one's lead, but both are incredibly curious, especially when it comes to their new llama neighbors. "The alpacas are ready to be fast friends, but our longtime llama duo is taking things a bit slower. Our Animal Ambassador Specialists will continue with gradual introductions over the next few weeks." [Photos: Denver Zoo]
