UPDATE
The body of a newborn swaddled in a "Skate Bear" blanket was discovered under a bush at L&M Auto Repair in Brighton as employees reported for work two decades ago. Aside from the blue blanket, there are no other clues in the Sept. 11, 2002 cold case of "Baby John Doe," the Weld County Sheriff's Office said. "Investigators described the baby as having dark hair. Ancestry was estimated to be potentially white, Latino and/or Italian. The newborn weighed about 7 pounds and was 21 inches long at his time of death," officials said. An autopsy determined the infant was born healthy between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. on the night of Sept. 10-11. No precise cause of death was established. L&M Auto Repair is located at 12607 Weld County Road 2 1/2, the sheriff's office said.
