COLD CASE: SEEK CLUES IN FARMER'S MURDER

The Weld County Sheriff's Office is seeking clues in a rural murder that occurred 39 years ago.
Gerald J. Dreiling, a farmer from Fort Lupton, was killed in his home on Aug. 27, 1986, after returning from a family gathering to change water in an irrigation ditch. Detectives suspected he may have interrupted a burglary, was forced to lie prone in a hallway - and shot. If you have information, call the Weld County Sheriff's Office tip line at (970) 304-6464 or email Crimetips@weld.gov. [Photo: Weld County Sheriff's Office]
