HIT & RUN SUBARU ABANDONED AFTER FATAL CRASH

Police are seeking information on a car that was abandoned after fatally injuring a motorcycle rider at the intersection of Dayton Street and East 12th Avenue in Aurora.

It's a 2003 Subaru Forester and its driver "failed to stop at a stop sign," Aurora police said. "The vehicle was located abandoned a short distance from the crash and impounded." The accident occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 9 and there is no suspect information. The front passenger side and windshield were damaged.

The victim, Harvey Davis, 65, of Aurora, succumbed to his injuries Aug. 12, according to the Arapahoe County coroner. If you have information, call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
