POLIS ASSAILS WHITE HOUSE ON NATIONAL GUARD

Reacting to the creeping military presence in U.S. cities, Colorado Governor Jared Polis said Friday "state National Guard forces exist to serve and protect our communities." "I shared with CNBC that governors have a responsibility to ensure the federal government doesn’t overreach," Polis said on social media. A president has the ability to "federalize" state guard forces during perceived domestic emergencies. Polis also "asked people to imagine the reaction if the roles were reversed" - and President Biden had dispatched troops to U.S. cities for law enforcement during his term.
