In a vile slap to the American way of life, Paul Ingrassia, 30, a top White House aide, is reported to have said “I do have a Nazi streak in me from time to time, I will admit it,” in a text obtained by Politico.
Ingrassia is President Trump's nominee to lead to Office of Special Counsel - and the text is latest in a stream of alarming messages about Hitler, Nazis, gas chambers and other disturbing topics attributed to young Republicans.
Almost 200,000 Americans died fighting Nazis in World War Two.
Another text attributed to the Ivy League lawyer slammed slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King and blacks in general, saying: "MLK Jr. was the 1960s George Floyd and his ‘holiday’ should be ended and tossed into the seventh circle of hell where it belongs.”
“No moulignon holidays." The term “moulignon” is an Italian slur akin to the "N-word."
Quoted by the New York Post, Senator Rick Scott, a Florida Republican, said of Trump's nominee: “I’m not supporting him.”
