The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert for Lilja Maddison, 14, last seen Sunday near 5000 West Virginia Avenue in Lakewood. Maddison is affiliated with the Blackfoot tribe. Colorado established the alert system because violent crime rates against Native Americans and Alaskan Natives are higher than national averages.
