YOUNG LITTLETON OFFICER DIES AFTER MEDICAL EMERGENCY

A Littleton police officer, Katherine Hidalgo, passed away Nov. 7 following a medical emergency while off duty, the police department said. "Officer Hidalgo served the Littleton community with dedication, professionalism, and compassion," the department said.

"She will be remembered for her positive spirit, her commitment to helping others, and the impact she made both within the department and in the community she proudly served." The Colorado Police Officers Foundation is assisting Littleton Lodge 26 of the Fraternal Order of Police with a fundraiser to assist her family. [Photo: Littleton Police Department]
