A hungry burglar went back for seconds and was dished out more than he bargained for.
The intruder broke into an empty home in Pueblo on Monday, prepared a snack, left and then - in an almost fatal decision - broke in again only to find the homeowner was back too and that he owned a .22 revolver.
The suspect, Ricardo Alonzo Diaz, 30, suffered a bullet wound to the right thigh and was jailed on a burglary charge, police said.
The homeowner told police Diaz had a knife. "The suspect admitted to being homeless and checking doors," police said.
