DO YOU KNOW JOHN DOE? TESTS REVEAL SLOVAK DNA

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation released death mask images Thursday of a mystery man whose remains were found at a remote camp site last year.

A forensic expert created facial reconstruction in the quest to identify "John Doe" - who may have been dead for as long as two years when he was discovered on the outskirts of Bailey in Park County in May 2024.

G
enetic genealogy determined John Doe had
Slovakian DNA - suggesting he may have had family in Pueblo, Omaha or Cedar Rapids, Iowa, nearby cities which have significant Czech and Slovak communities.

John Doe is estimated to have been between 30 and 60 years of age and stood 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-8 and "a
s of now, information regarding the case, including how the man might have died, is limited," officials said.

If you have information, call the
Colorado Bureau of Investigation at (720) 295-6642.
