After a lengthy investigation, Angelo Mantych was convicted Friday of suffocating his partner on an Amtrak train to Denver almost a decade ago, the DA's Office said Friday.
Marina Placensia, 28, was pronounced dead after the train pulled into Union Station on Sept. 1, 2016.
Mantych and Placensia were parents of three children. They were traveling from Milwaukee. Mantych, 43, faces a sentence of life in prison with no parole. [Photo: Denver DA's Office]
