MAJOR INDUSTRIAL FIRE HITS COLORADO SPRINGS

 

UPDATE

A two-alarm fire broke Saturday out at Beacon Building Products at 3117 Century Street in Colorado Springs, the fire department said.

A smoke plume was visible across the city.

The blaze involved a pile of building materials stored outdoors. Heavy equipment was called to dig through the smoldering rubble. No injuries were reported.

"Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the pile, there was no fire damage to any buildings nearby," the fire department said.
