STATE SENATOR DEEMED AT FAULT FOR WRECK THAT TOOK HER LIFE
UPDATE
Colorado State Senator Faith Winter "was a fault" in a crash that took her life on northbound I-25 on Thanksgiving Eve, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Investigators determined Winter's car plowed into a flatbed truck that stopped for an earlier crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene near Dry Creek Road.
Winter, 45, a Broomfield Democrat, suffered "multiple blunt force" and "toxicology testing of autopsy samples was positive for ethanol, and her blood alcohol concentration was 185 mg/dl (0.185 g/100 ml)," the county coroner said. That's above the legal limit.
