Bear sightings have been on the rise in Arvada and Wheat Ridge - mostly west of Ward Road - as the drought hurts burly beasts' natural food supply, Arvada police said.
"Take your bird feeders down if there are sightings near you, don't leave your pets outside unsupervised, and make sure your trash cans are secured," police said. Call police to report sightings. [Photo: Arvada Police]
