BEWARE! POLICE WARN OF SICKO E-MAILS, BLACKMAIL

The Loveland Police Department issued a special alert Wednesday regarding sick, disgusting, graphic, threatening, blackmail e-mails sent to unsuspecting citizens.

The Daily Sketch presents the police notice verbatim:
We have reports of residents receiving mail containing child sexual abuse material. The messaging attached instructs recipients to scan a QR code, visit a website, or call/text a listed number to send money, with threats of blackmail if demands are not met.

If you receive one of these paper mailings:
* Do not scan the QR code.
* Do not visit the listed websites.
* Do not call or text the listed numbers.
Instead, immediately secure the material away from others and call our non-emergency line at (970) 667-2151. An officer will respond, document the incident, and take possession of the material. Please be aware: this material is extremely graphic.
