MAN DETAINED IN MURDER INVESTIGATION

David O’Grady, 36, has been detained by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a homicide.

The victim, Taylor Last, was slain Sept. 7 in the 5200-block of Shawnee Way in Centennial, the sheriff's office said Tuesday.

"The investigation is open and active," officials said, without providing further information on the case. 

An arrest affidavit obtained by 9News said O'Grady initially told deputies he was cleaning his gun when it fired, striking Last - identified as he wife - in the chest, and that he waited an hour to call 911 while he performed CPR.
