In a scene reminiscent of a duel between Alexander Hamilton, the first U.S Treasury secretary and his archenemy, Aaron Burr, the current Treasury chief threatened to harm another Trump big whig, according to a dispatch from Washington.
Scott Bessent confronted the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Bill Pulte, at an exclusive social event, Politico reports - and jaws dropped.
"Why the f--- are you talking to the president about me? F--- you," witnesses reported the Treasury secretary said. "I'm gonna punch you in your f---ing face."

Politico says the fracas highlighted "underlying tensions" between Trump officials.
Politico added: "The incident was not unprecedented for Bessent, who had previously confronted other administration figures, including a notable altercation with Elon Musk."
