UPDATE
Fire broke out early Friday in a Denver apartment building and burned into the attic, the fire department said.
The blaze started in a vacant third floor unit. No injuries were reported. The building is located in the vicinity of Yosemite Street and Hampden Avenue.
In Aurora, meantime, a person was treated for smoke inflation late Thursday at an apartment building fire in the 1500-block of North Emporia Street and transported to hospital, authorities said. In a daytime Thursday blaze, firefighters rescued a number of dogs from a house fire in the vicinity of Colorado Boulevard and East Colfax Avenue in Denver. [Photo: Denver Fire Department]
