Police arrested a student accused of threatening to shoot 27 students at Delta Middle School on a social media network popular with right-wing extremists.
Delta is located on the Western Slope.
The suspect used the Discord platform last week "to disseminate a 'list' of students who were to be harmed by use of a firearm while at school," the Delta Police Department said.
Discord is popular with alt-right followers due to its "pseudonymity and privacy," according to Wikipedia.
Police also discovered threats sent via email.
The student was removed from school "with the recommendation of expulsion" - and charged with "appropriate criminal charges, to include multiple felony and misdemeanor violations," police said.
