MANY INJURED IN 2-ALARM BLAZE IN COLORADO SPRINGS

UPDATE

Seven people were injured in an apartment building fire early Sunday in Colorado Springs, the fire department said.
Two of the victims were hurt badly. The others were treated at the scene at 5320 East Pikes Peak Avenue. Firefighters rescued at two adults and two children by ladder. "One victim had been pulled from the building by another tenant prior to our arrival," the fire department said. "Firefighters located a second victim, who was unconscious, inside the fire unit and brought them out to safety."
The blaze was declared under control after 45 minutes. The fire department struck two alarms, sending additional crews and equipment to the scene. The American Red Cross assisted 50 residents displaced by the blaze with housing and other needs.
