A deputy fired his gun toward a driver who tried to mow him down after a high-speed chase, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said.
Both suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the auto wasn't hurt.
The chase began near Grand Market Avenue and TPC Parkway in Berthoud after the deputy tried to stop the vehicle and ended on Highway 60 just east of I-25.
In Denver, three people died in a single-vehicle crash at 56th Avenue and Potomac Street while a person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in the 4800-block of West Exposition Ave., police said.
