BIKE TRAIL KILLER GETS LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE

A Denver judge Monday sentenced bike trail killer Tanner Fielder, 33, to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Fielder was convicted of two counts of first-degree homicide in the shooting deaths
Lluvia Robles-Banuelos, 31, and Jeremy Hutcheson, 43, along the South Platte River trail, frequented by transients.

Robles-Banuelos died on Sept. 6, 2023, near East 45th Avenue and North Washington Street. Hutcheson died Sept. 9 near South Platte River Drive and West Florida Avenue.

Detectives collected evidence linking the shootings to the same killer and Fielder
was arrested a few days later in Gilpin County.
