Humane Colorado, formerly known as Dumb Friends League, is cutting adoption fees for cats and dogs age 1 year and older by 50% off through Dec. 31. Its shelters - in Denver, Castle Rock and Alamosa - are also waiving adoption fees for rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals. The organization is more than a century old.
