FLASHOVER! CLOSE CALL FOR GREELEY FIREFIGHTERS

Firefighters dodged a deadly flashover in Greeley.

The rolling flames exploded inside a home in the 2700-block of C Street on Saturday, according to Greeley Firefighters Union Local 888. No injuries were reported. A flashover occurs when the contents and interior surfaces of a burning building ignite almost simultaneously. Once they regrouped, firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, the union local said.
