At 7 a.m. Sunday, a deputy stopped a car careening at 115 mph on I-25 near East Dry Creek Road in Arapahoe County - where the speed limit is 65 mph. The driver - a woman, aged 31 - was cited for reckless driving and speeding at more than 40 mph over the limit - a 20-point traffic ticket. The sheriff's office said: "Yes, traffic was light. But at that speed, one small mistake is all it takes. There’s no time to react, no margin for error — and the consequences can be fatal."
