Two men put a woman in an auto after a "disturbance" in the mountain town of Granby and one of them drove her to a nearby hospital - where she was pronounced dead, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said.
A witness to the incident notified police. The woman "sustained significant injuries," CBI said.
The disturbance occurred outside the USDA Forest Service Sulphur Ranger District Office at 9 Ten Mile Drive West at about 12:05 p.m. Saturday.
The woman was a Granby resident, aged 38. The hospital is across the street from the ranger station.
