WILDFIRE ON WESTERN EDGE OF FORT COLLINS

 

UPDATE

Firefighters extinguished a wildfire Thursday on the western edge of Fort Collins, Poudre Fire Authority said. 
A fire investigator determined downed power lines caused the blaze at the base of the foothills in the 4400-block of Laporte Avenue. "Flames were moving west up the hill and south across the field toward an outbuilding and trees," fire officials said. "Smoke could be seen coming from the base of the foothills from several blocks away."

No injuries were reported.
