ANOTHER WAYWARD EMU SNAGGED; REUNITED WITH OWNER

UPDATE

A determined animal control officer collared a runaway emu Friday in the Camfield area of Weld County, officials said. The officer slipped a horse lead on the big "friendly" bird and led it to a trailer. The emu was reunited with its owner later in the day. Capturing an emu is no easy task as they can sprint up to 30 mph. Earlier this week, police and animal control personnel in Lakewood captured on emu darting into traffic on busy West Colfax Avenue.
