OY VEY! NEAR RECORD HEAT TODAY; WEEKEND CHILL SEEN

UPDATE

The National Weather Service is forecasting a sunny and hot Thursday for the Denver area - with a high around 100 degrees. The weekend, thank goodness, could bring cooler weather.

"Near record high temperatures are expected," the weather service says. "The forecast of 98 at DIA would be a degree off the daily record high of 99 set in 2023. Fort Collins, meantime, could break an all-time high of 96, also set in 2023. The weekend will bring "an extended break from the heat," forecasters promise.
