A hero neighbor wielding a garden hose Friday helped stop a house fire from spreading, South Metro Fire Rescue said. There were no injuries, however, dwelling damage displaced three adults, three children, two cats and a dog, officials said. The blaze broke out at 7918 Berkshire Lane in Castle Pines North just before 8 a.m. "A special thank you to a neighbor that pulled a garden hose and help stopped the spread of this fire while SMFR was dispatched," officials said on social media.
