FUNERAL HOME OF HORROR CORPSES HIDDEN FOR MORE THAN DECADE

It will take "many months" to identify bodies hidden - for more than a decade - at the funeral home owned by Pueblo County's coroner and his brother, the Colorado Bureau of investigation said Monday.

"Given the state of the remains, which investigators believe could be at least 15 years old in some cases, a DNA comparison with samples voluntarily submitted by family members will be a key part of the process," the CBI said. Dental x-rays and fingerprints will also be checked. Officials estimate more than 20 bodies and cremated remains were located at Davis Mortuary, owned by Coroner Brian Cotter and his brother Chris Cotter. "No arrests have been made at this time," the CBI said. "However, law enforcement confirms they know the whereabouts of Mr. Cotter and his brother and have no reason to believe either is a flight risk."
