LIFE IN PRISON FOR MAN CONVICTED IN MA KAING KILLING

A man convicted in the shooting death of East Denver community activist Ma Kaing has been sentenced to life in prison without parole, the DA's Office said Friday. 
Pa Reh, 21, and three other men were charged in the slaying of Kaing, 42, who was caught in the crossfire of an alleged street gang gunbattle outside the Hidden Brook Apartments in the 1300-block of North Xenia Street on July 15, 2022. The DA's Office said: "One of the other defendants was also found guilty at trial of First-Degree Murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The remaining two defendants pleaded guilty to Second-Degree Murder and will be sentenced in September."
