A burglary suspect stole an Aurora police car Tuesday and led officers on a 30-minute chase through several Denver area communities, officials said.

While turning from Airport Boulevard onto Alameda Avenue, the stolen patrol car lost a tire. "A District 2 sergeant helped bring things to a stop by striking the stolen vehicle," Aurora police said on social media. Both the suspect and police sergeant were back-and-blue ... after the black-and-whites crashed. "Stealing a police car is NOT the smartest getaway plan," police said.
