'ATTENTION: CLEAN UP ON AISLE 1, PLEASE'

A truck lurched through a store window Monday in Fort Collins, the Poudre Fire Authority said.

"The driver of the truck reportedly just installed a battery," officials said. "He started the truck from outside the vehicle to ensure it worked." It did - and the wayward vehicle "jumped forward, crashing through the front windows of the business," officials said. There were no serious injuries though the driver scraped his leg, officials said. Firefighters inspected the building at 725 Lemay Ave. for structural damage.

On Sunday, an auto crashed into a storefront window in Douglas County when the driver "accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake," officials said.
