WORKER FALLS IN DENVER CORN SILO, RESCUE TEAM RESPONDS


A worker fell into a corn silo Monday.

A rope and harness were lowered into the silo at Lima Street and North Nome Street, near East 40th Avenue in Denver. The worker "was able to put it on without assistance," officials said. The Denver Fire Department's specialized technical rescue team responded to the alarm along with Engine 27 and Tower 27 from the
East Albrook Drive fire station.
