Prosecutors filed animal cruelty charges against a man suspected of being a fake veterinarian and his wife - who kept more than two dozen pets. 
Demetrio and Araceli Urbina are accused of "housing dozens of animals (mostly dogs) and children in deplorable conditions," Commerce City police said on social media.
Authorities also charged the couple with child abuse and took custody of their children.

As the Daily Sketch reported last month, police and animal wardens found 31 dogs, two cats and two guinea pigs at the couple's home.
