In a slap to black and LGBTQ people, Erie will stop flying Juneteenth and Price flags on its six municipal flag poles following a close town council vote.
The 4-3 decision "rolls back precedence and shifts the town of Erie in a dangerous direction," said Emily Baer, a member of the town council, tells 9News.
Mayor Andrew Moore argued: "If you look at one group at a higher level than another group, you are actually creating inequity."
Erie is located in Weld and Boulder counties.
