GUNS BLAZING IN THORNTON SHOOTOUT

Police rounded up several suspects who fled from a gun battle Friday and crashed their car into a home. There were no injuries in the mayhem in the vicinity of 1201 West Thornton Parkway in Thornton, police said. "Preliminary investigation shows there was a shooting involving multiple people, and the suspects attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle," police said. "The suspects crashed into a residence in the area and all fled on foot." "After a thorough search, officers located and detained several people who were believed to be involved in the shooting," police said. "Multiple handguns were also recovered on scene."
