POLICE BLOTTER: MURDER-SUICIDE; HIT & RUN; YOUTH SHOT DEAD

A person was shot and killed overnight in the 2700-block of South Fenton Street in Denver - and the suspect was found dead suffering an apparent self-inflicted bullet wound, police said Saturday.

The deceased suspect was a man, police said.

A male youth was shot dead overnight in the 1100-block of North Syracuse Street in Denver. "Preliminary information indicates there was a house party in the area that went out into a parking lot where the shooting occurred," police said.

A hit-and-run driver killed a person overnight at West 14th Avenue and North Lipan Street in Denver. Initially, police suspected the victim had been shot. "The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene," police said.

In Westminster, suspect Matthew Curran, 30, accused of crashing an auto into two houses last Sunday and attempting to run down his ex-girlfriend's mother, has been charged with attempted murder and other crimes, police said Friday.
