UPDATE
A small airplane crashed Sunday afternoon east of the runway at Erie's airport, missing a row of homes.
Emergency services rushed to the scene. Skies were clear.
Quoting police, CBS Denver reported two people occupied the plane and that FAA officials were enroute to the Weld County community.
